RAMACA HEIGHTS (812 m)

Ramaca heights are located in the village of Ramaca, 10 km from the town of Stragari. Ramaca can be reached by the highway Belgrade-Nis. From the highway, you must turn toward Arandjelovac. Follow the signs to Topola and Stragari and, finally, Ramaca. Distance between Belgrade and Ramaca is 100 km. In the village, there is a church of Saint Nicholas.

Above this church, the path to Ramaca heights starts. Just follow the asphalt road and, after 20 meters, you will see the signpost to Ramaca heights. After an hour of easy walk, you will reach the top. But, beware, the markings are not so clear. The best thing is just to follow the cable, which goes to the big antenna on the top. From the top, you can see the lake Gruza.

If you follow the signs, from Stragari, you will find monastery Voljavca, where Karadjordje (leader of Serbs in the First Serbian Uprising) held the first session of the Serbian government.
